His Royal Highness Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh - may God protect him – is sponsoring the eighth edition of the Riyadh Festival for Shopping and Entertainment 1433 at Panorama Mall in Riyadh on Wednesday evening. The festival has the support of HRH, the Prince of Riyadh, Riyadh Municipality and the Saudi Commision for Tourism and Antiquities, and the interest of large masses as it contains distinct events and activities that lend an air of joy and happiness in the capital Riyadh. Majid Alhokair, Chairman of the Tourism Committee at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the festival, expressed his thanks and appreciation to HRH Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz for his generous patronage. He continued, stressing that the care of HRH in launching the festival adds value to this national event and is incentive for all the parties participating in the festival and the working committees to exert more effort for the success of the event. Al-Hokair highlighted that the festival serves in maintaining the status and reputation of the capital Riyadh. Alhokair also said: We hope that the festival this year supplements past Riyadh festival successes. The festival has achieved a number of objectives and has gained good reputation as an event that gives visitors the experience of shopping and entertainment. It is one of the best experiences in the region, all of which achieved with the grace of God and with the support of the wise leadership of the National Festival, which is led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, may God protect him, whom expressed his thanks to HRH Prince Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the region, HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chief of the General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities and His Highness Prince Dr. Abdul Aziz Bin Mohammed Bin Ayaf, Mayor of Riyadh Region, for their continued support of the festival. Additionally, Alhokair emphasized the importance of the fruitful and constructive cooperation with the partners from the public and private sectors for the continuity and success of the festival. He stressed that an increase in the number of partners this year is a large indicator of the development of the festival and of the excellent regional reputation the festival has steadily earned over the years. The festival contains over 250 activities that are held at 26 commercial and entertainment centers. The festival will continue until 22 Shaban 1433, which corresponds to July 12, 2012. |
